Chapter Meeting on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2026, at 7:30pm with Joe Ackourey

Please join us for our next Chapter meeting on Thursday, Nov. 12th at the Whippany American Legion. Our meeting will begin at 7:30pm with a few minutes for socializing. I have been informed that the downstairs room should be ready so we will be back in our usual space.  We are excited to welcome back our special guest HTU friend, guide, master fly tier, teacher, and conservationist, Joe Ackourey. He will be speaking about smallmouth bass fishing in Pennsylvania and he will also be tying flies. Please check out his website joeackoureyflyfishingadventures.com for more information as well as to purchase some of Joe's handmade materials. Joe will be bringing plenty of his fly tying materials for purchase so be sure to bring along some extra cash. For the last few years, Joe has donated four dozen of his hand tied Comparaduns to our annual banquet and they are always one of the most coveted prizes. We are so grateful to Joe.

Prior to Joe's presentation, HTU member, Carl Liston, will be giving a brief presentation about his experience with TU Expeditions from this past summer in Wyoming. It is sure to be a great meeting!

Additionally, this is a reminder that next month's meeting is our annual potluck and auction. Please start putting aside some good stuff to donate at December's meeting. Thank you.
