Have you ever wondered what it is like to fish Sandy Hook? Have you fished Sandy Hook before and need some new advice? Well your are in luck because our March meeting on March, 8th Anthony Grassi will be discussing just that. Anthony Grassi is a guide for Fin Chaser Charters. He has a plethora of information on the topic from his many years of guiding and knows how to catch big fish. We highly reccomend coming to this meeting if you have any interest in salt water fishing.
Our Annual Fundraiser
Every year we hold a fly fishing banquet for our chapter members and anyone else they would like to bring. During this banquet we hold bucket raffles, have silent actions and by the end their is a grand prize for one lucky person. The banquet is a our biggest source of revenue which allows us to keep doing the great things we do in regards to conservation. Money aside it is a great time to meet new people or, plan new trips, get new fishing gear, or even introduce someone to the world of fly fishing or conservation so they can see how it can bring people together. We would love to see everyone there, and urge you to bring a friend. It is always a blast and the more people we have the merrier it is.

Cole Baldino
At our meeting on February eighth Cole Baldino will be presenting on cold water restoration within the Delaware River Basin, ways to get involved and how it will translate to bigger wild trout. Cole is a New Jersey Delaware River Coordinator for TU. He is a young gun who is driven to create a better environment for our future generations and I think he shows that there is hope for bringing youth into the realm of conservation. Many refer to the Delaware as western river in the east, so if you would like to know how to protect it or what is being done to keep the ecosystem strong, we highly reccommend attending the meeting.
Learning to Tie Flies?
Are you interested in tying your own flies, or have been wanting to learn some new patterns that will catch fish? If so our chapter holds tying classes through the month of February into March. These classes our a great bang for your buck and you will leave each class with a new pattern in your repertoire and a handful to put in your fly box. We have a great time at these classes with lots of fish tales, that will leave you open mouthed and wanting to get out on the river to create your own fish tales.
