If you are going to fish the Musconetcong River,
try from Saxton Falls to Stephens State Park. The
State and the Clubs dump a ton of fish in there.
Sure there is alot of pressure, but there are
always fish.

For patterns, try the usual mayfly imitations.
I have had my best luck with nymphs. My top
three are tan scud #16, breadcrust #14, and a
brown stonefly #10.

Other streams are the Pequest and the Paulinskill.
Both of these streams are in the western part of
the state. I have found that some very large fish
are stocked in these streams. Somebody told me,
(whether it's true or not I don't know) that the
division does this, to try to get PA. anglers to
buy Jersey licenses and fish here.

The patterns that work in the Musconetcong will
also work here.
