The 8th annual Hacklebarney TU 2 day Fly Fishing School was a great success! 15 students learned to cast, read the water and landed some of their first fish on flies.

Hacklebarney TU will be hosting fly tying lessons at REI 280 State Rt. 10 in East Hanover.

This program is offered by the NJ DEP Division of Fish and Wildlife and the NJ State Council of Trout Unlimited and its supporting chapters. The goal of the school is to foster a knowledge and appreciation of trout and the coldwater habitats on which they depend. The photographs below were taken during the raparian planting on Big Flat Brook.
